After considering the main areas of the company, you have to examine yourself and establish whether you can handle any of these aspects. The assistant can either be a partner in the company or an independent third party properly trained to handle the task in question. If you are a sole proprietor, the other option is to undergo additional training so as to acquire these skills.

Improving your marketing skills is a good starting point. A good marketer is able to attract more customers to buy their goods and services and at the same time to retain the pre-existing ones. It is only after these things have been done that you will have a low-cost, efficient and satisfied workforce.

Without proper skills, it may not be possible to meet the budgetary requirements of your company and you may end up with serious debts and losses. If you do not have formal training in finance, there is need that you undergo a short course or to delegate this task altogether.

As you set up and run your company, it is inevitable that you will interact with other people. These include partners, associates, employees, clients, suppliers and so on. Another area that you will need some knowledge is in the legal issues. Proper adherence to the required law is important for any form of venture.
