The report of shelling comes a day after an international leader warned that Gadhafi was destroying crucial food supplies in warehouses in Misrata in an effort to starve people into submission in the besieged city. "There is a continuance of heavy shelling on the road leading to the seaport by Gadhafi's forces and onto Misrata's port using tanks," said the resident who wanted to be identified only as Abdlsalam, for security reasons. Rebels receive funding pledge "I couldn't hear any NATO planes today," he added. The shelling stopped a ship that was to evacuate people from coming into the port, Abdlsalam said.
