Dr. Chua Soi Lekalso served as the health minister of Malaysia for a period of four years i.e. from 2004 to 2008. He was serving as a medical officer at Batu Pahat hospital in 1977 when he laid foundation of his own clinic. After operating that clinic for 12 years he sold it to become a full fledged politician and member of MCA.
