It seems people always blame video games for something that's wrong in the world. Blaming it for the violence in the world or even blaming it for society getting ruined. I disagree and actually will say video games are one of the loves of my life an certainly one of my most frequented hobby besides listening to music.
Video games for a lot of people is maybe the only love they have in their lives. They wake up in the morning, go to work all day and when they get home after work they turn on their PlayStation 3 or whatever system they use and go play games. When they play their games it completely takes their mind off the bad luck in their lives because they are having fun playing video games. They are concentrated on beating the level in the game, everything else in life at that moment is numb while they are concentrated on their game. How do i know this? Because im one of those people, I play video games to take stuff off my mind and entertain myself. And i know many people who i play online with who are miserable about their lives but absolutely love playing racing online or call of duty online, whatever the game you personally enjoy.
People Blame video games for causing violence. That is ridiculous, if somebody causes uncalled for violence its because there is something wrong with them. It has nothing to do with the game they just played. I play video games that involve violence all the time and im a gentleman. If an actor does a movie where he kills 200 people in it, it doesn't mean he does that in his real life. And its the same for video games and even music. If somebody is inspired by a video game to go around committing violence, its because they have mental issues and need help.
One of the main reasons why i love video games so much is because it's a great social event. Friends getting together and playing video games is great fun. Life is about having fun and enjoying yourself, playing video games with and against friends is a very entertaining and safe way to enjoy life. It wouldn't be a multi billion dollar industry if it wasnt enjoyable.
Its there for me when im bored, and its there for me when im sad. What would my world be without video games??
