When we chat about companies, it is often best to stay with the tried-and-tested systems. Particularly with the slow pace like our economy is getting over, now isn't really the time to experiment. And one of the most fool-proof strategies that entrepreneurs do is staying with a sales script.

Whether you're selling a product or service over the phone or in person, a great sales person needs a good sales script. You need a "guide" to be certain that your sale goes as smoothly as it can.

The number one thing you have to remember is that you have got to have a good sales script. You shouldn't also be contented with using "manufactured" sales scripts. These scripts are the type that you picked out off the Web or the same script you used in your previous job.

Sales scripts must be customised and modified to fit your own requirements. I've always advocated doing five steps to be certain that you write the best sales script for your organisation.

1. Do a consumer preference analysis.
2. Identify your service's or product's largest selling point.
3. Create the sales script.
4. Test-run it and make the essential changes.
5. Implement it.

These are critical steps to take if you'd like an efficient sale script.

But you see, I actually do believe that your sales script, regardless of how well written it is, would not work as well if you do not know the secret ingredient: persuasion.

But persuasion is the ability that each great sales rep must master. Generally, it's a soft ability, yes, but there are ways for you to form your sales script and make it as convincing as you can.

Before we are going through that though, shall we define persuasion.

Persuasion is the art of understanding how it's possible for you to partner with other people to realize the results that you want- results that they did not originally agree with.

Persuasion is the art of knowing how you can partner with others to achieve the end results that you want- results that they didn't originally agree with.

So how does one incorporate persuasion into your sales script?

The first thing to know is you will need to be able to control the inflection or your voice tone. This is an ability that you would learn if you study about persuasion.

Next, in a persuasive sales script, each phrase must be conscientiously thought through. The slightest mistake in phrasing or word choice could make or break a sale.

Next, in a convincing sales script, every word or phrase must be carefully thought of. The tiniest mistake in phrasing or word choice can make or break a sale.

Research has demonstrated that even though we are rational beings, we all tend to make calls primarily based on emotional events that we've been throughduring the past.

Clearly, the more your sales script appeal to your prospective client's emotions, the higher your odds of turning him into an existing and returning buyer.
