How You Can Identify Bed Bug Bites

What are the tell tale signs of bed bug bites? Okay on rising after a good night's sleep you can experience a raised rash all over your body along with itching. These are the most common bed bug bite symptoms.

Before we discuss the symptoms let's consider what the bed bugs signs. These are little oval insects that cannot fly and are members of the insect family group Cimicidae. They have flat bodies measuring roughly 5 to 7 mm and are a brown orange color. These bugs like mattresses and sofas as its habitat therefore the name bed bug.

You may have heard horror tales of bed bugs in hotels. The mattresses are where they stay expecting their victim. There are parasites and nourish by sucking the blood of animals and humans and are nocturnal creatures. A bite from a bed bug is a lot itchier than that of a mosquito bite and can only be felt at least an hour after being bitten.

Bed bugs contain an anesthetic in their saliva and they can draw blood with no interruption that eventually prevents the clotting of the blood. Bed bug bite signs are commonly elevated rashes and show around an hour following the bite. Some people may respond after a couple of days and some a few weeks, it will all depend upon the body's response to the chemicals in the saliva of the bed bug.

Bed bug bite signs may present with a red circular bump and swells more than a mosquito bite. It requires time for the rash to disperse over the body. When these symptoms are noticed then you definitely know you have been bitten by bed bugs.

People that move around during their sleep are more prone to been bitten. There are individuals that can even notice allergic reactions, and in some cases although atypical bed bug bites can cause anaphylaxis. Should this happen seek medical attention immediately.
