It is down to you and only you to make sure your medical marijuana has the proper living conditions when growing medical cannabis indoors. If you want to get a desirable yield you will need to control many aspects inside the grow room. One of the most important aspects of grow room conditions is the air within it. Don't under estimate this task. Although it may seem easy, trust me, every space will have it's own challenges. Too much of one thing can result in a lack of something else so you had better learn the basics.

Carbon Dioxide and Oxygen are crucial to plant life. Air delivers both of these to a plant. Plants, especially marijuana, do not thrive in stagnate air. It is important to have a steady flow of fresh air to your grow room, otherwise your plants will suffer. Experienced indoor growers go as far as to add co2 to their grow rooms air. Incredible increases in yields have been achieved by the addition and regulation of co2.

The second factor in air control is the air temperature in the room. Temperature can affect growth rate when at extremes of freezing or temps in excess of 100 degrees. The prime range differs from strain from strain however 75-85 degrees is a good range to shoot for. As far as potency goes in regards to temperature , there are many theories. The only actual study I have ever seen revealed that marijuana budded using higher temps of 90 degrees had higher potency than those that were budded in cooler temps. Don't over think or do anything drastic in order to achieve some sort of exact constant. Keep it around 75-85 degrees, your efforts are better spent elsewhere.

Humidity is another important aspect of air quality to control. Humidity in extreme highs and lows, much like with temperature, can affect both potency and growth rate. As long as you keep your humidity percentage below 90% and above 20% your plant will survive. Preference is to keep the humidity lower during the budding phase. It is said that humidity percentages between 30 and 40 will increase the potency of the end product. You can regulate the humidity using humidifiers and dehumidifiers. Running the heater in your house will suck the humidity out of the air in a hurry so it may be necessary to run a humidifier during cold winter months.

The outcome of your harvest is directly related to your ability to control the environment in your grow room. Achieving a balance inside your grow room will take time. Air quality, temperature, and humidity levels are crucial to the buds development. These levels are not hard or expensive to monitor. A $10 digital thermometer with humidity level readout can be bought at most any home improvement or garden store.
