Otherwise, these lights are a one-night show. I love them, had them for over two years and still going strong.

I had high hopes.

The battery/panels noted in this pack will be mounted on a bulkhead for easy removal. You need to realize that when you combine solar power and rechargeable AA batteries that you are (obviously) totally reliant on the amount of sunlight that falls on the panel. Good price. The "flood" in the description refers to the configuration - design of the fixture, not the fact that this is a bright FLOOD light. I don't know how well they work in the middle of winter. I use them to light a long driveway with a soft glow.

I ordered these, a set from Heartland America, and a set from Moonrays. Maybe in another few years companies like Intermatic will better understand that people want at least as much light on their paths and steps as a single AA battery flashlight can cast. These Malibu spotlights work great. Those that thought these didn't put out much light must not have looked at the furnished pictures to see what they did.

To refer to these as "floodlights" is to misrepresent this product.

The dim light they provide is about 2 feet upwards, and almost nil to the sides. The only drawbacks to this set are: the bluish color - the color does not work well with normal hard-wired landscaping lights that are more of a yellowish color, but that is really not much to worry about. The lights are actually blinding if viewed head on. Thanks in advance. Mounted about 7 feet up, these lights do not give a light bright enough to distract from sleeping, but do easily provide enough light for safe walking around. I take one point out because the whole solar panel module is all plastic stuffs (the stand, the enclosure). I have recently bought 2 more for other parts of the yard. Otherwise, these lights are a one-night show.

The solar panel provides enough charge to burn all through lights (3 LEDs each) all night and they're still burning bright come morning. Not a "flood" of light, but more like a nice white glow. I used mine on a Halloween display of pumpkins and cornstalks. I am trying to be more "green", but I wonder if I am just defeating my purpose by buying so much plastic solar lights, and wondering if using my old low voltage lights would be less detrimental to the earth, or just using 4 or five 40 watt flood lights on timers, where only 1 or two are on at a time.
