Battlestar Galactica, which has been around since 1978 is an American science fiction franchise that started as an original television series created by Glen A. Larson followed by another TV series in 1980 that was broadcast as a sequel. In 2003 it was resurrected and remade into various mini-series that have been produced throughout the years up to the present.
